Lesson Planning

Wear kangaroo masks and pouches as you research to find interesting fun facts about other mammals that make their home in the Australia Outback.

Teaching Outcomes
To identify, name, describe and compare a variety of mammals found in the Australian Outback.
To locate the continent of Australia on world map, atlas and globe and identify and discuss key physical features.

Children will:

  • Identify different and similar characteristics and features of mammals living in the Australian outback.
